Eric Barber (Director of Operations)

Born and raised in Wenatchee, Eric's love for the outdoors developed in an era of no computers, and at a time when not every home had a television. Family with farmland provided the perfect venue for daily outdoor adventures such as climbing trees, building forts, and playing with animals. When introduced to snow skiing in 4th grade, Eric immediately fell in love with the sport and it has remained his primary passion ever since. As a teenager, a youth leader introduced him to rock climbing, and another passion was born. In spring of 1993 (upon graduating from Wenatchee Valley College), Eric became a professional rafting guide on the Wenatchee river, and another passion developed. This is the foundation of an internal drive that fuels his leadership in this organization.

• Masters degree (MSEd) in outdoor education
• Bachelors degree in organizational management
• Wilderness First Responder certification
• CPR/AED cert
• Lifeguard cert
• River Rescue Pro cert
• Technical Rope cert
• Certified teacher in Wenatchee School District
• University teaching experience includes the following classes: rock climbing, backpacking, river rafting, outdoor leadership, and work as a challenge course facilitator
• Worked for multiple camps including staff training and mentorship
